Over the last 3 years, I’ve seen some truly amazing wedding venues. From old warehouses, to farms, brides and grooms will stop at nothing to pick the most amazing and interesting locations for their “I do’s”. This past week, however, I can honestly say that I had the pleasure of playing at Blumen Gardens. Located in Sycamore, IL, this is one of the most unique and interesting venues I’ve ever seen.

As a former warehouse, Blumen Gardens has all of the bones of a cool and rustic old building, but has since been transformed into a nursery and garden center, selling hundreds of varieties of plants, flowers and accessories. This secret gem provides an amazing natural backdrop to any event, with countless plants everywhere you look. Their outdoor ceremony space is lush and unique, while their industrial indoor reception area is the perfect aesthetic for any couple looking for an alternative to a traditional ballroom. Their staff were all incredibly accommodating and wonderful to work with as well!

You only need to spend a few minutes with Drew and Sharon to know that they are, without question, the real deal. During their laid back ceremony, it was incredibly clear that these two are madly in love with each other, and it was so special to be a part of the day that brought all of these amazing people together to celebrate that love! NOTHING about this wedding was typical, and that’s what made it so special! Guests dined on amazing barbecue food and macarons (favorites of the couple), and enjoyed a variety of signature cocktails designed for the day (our personal favorite was the old fashioned). Blumen Gardens allowed these two lovebirds to transform an already amazing space into the wedding of their dreams.
