Sanctuary Events is a super-fun venue located in the heart of Plainfield, Illinois. In the first place, this old trolley barn dates back to 1904. Furthermore, this trolley barn has been meticulously and completely refurbished. And there was a really cool brewery next door! Sanctuary Events opened it’s doors in 2019 and never looked back. After a beautiful ceremony (held indoors), guests strolled to the other side of the room to enjoy cocktail hour. Sweet Love by Anita Baker was an instant hit. In fact, couples swayed on the dance floor after the songs last note. Felix loves live cocktail music; it sets the mood for a light-hearted and fun evening!
Surprise Ice Cream Truck and Great Song Requests
Dinner was fantastic. Lots of delicious options, and plenty for all. After dinner, an ice-cream truck showed up. In fact, the bride and groom dressed the part handing out ice cream from the truck. We thought that was awesome. Hence, a few scoops of yummy ice cream and everyone packed the dance floor with new found energy. A request for Always Something There to Remind Me by Naked Eyes was a must play song. Felix LOVES this request!
Above all, Greg and Katrina kept the dance floor packed all night long. Sanctuary Events Wedding Celebration was one big party. We fired out Love Shack by the B52’s and our crowd went nuts. Katrina and Jim actually saw some impressive moves out there.
Oh and by the way, one cannot hold a party without performing Ms. New Booty by Bubba Sparxxx. This song was a highlight of Sanctuary Events Wedding Celebration, and also one of the bride’s favorite songs. Alicia burned up the dancefloor all night long. For our last song of the night, Katrina and Greg gathered everyone into a circle around the bride and groom. Piano Man by Billy Joel is our signature song. Jim and Katrina played this well know tune while friends and family crooned their love to the happy couple. Everyone went home excited and that makes us ecstatic. Another successful show in our books!
