Felix and Fingers love performing at fundraisers. The Saint Jude Catholic School Fundraiser Gala in Peoria, Illinois is a fantastic fundraiser for a good cause. We played at their fundraiser 2 years ago. Indeed, it was an honor to be back and helping raise more money for the school. Sam Baker and Jim Gritschke kept everyone busy partying while throwing out the tunes! We were glad to see that everyone was feeling more than generous at this Fire and Ice Gala.
Saint Jude Catholic School Fundraiser Gala
The Saint Jude Catholic School Fundraiser Gala was a fancy event. Hence, the men arrived in suits and the ladies in formal dresses. In other words, everyone was dressed to the nines! Hettinger Hall is the perfect venue for a fundraiser. The decorations were beautiful! The room literally sparkled. Crystal ropes hung from the ceiling and the tabletops were decked out in crystals also. We had a fantastic view of the room while we did our dueling piano show. Did we mention the food and drink selection? Everything was fabulous! Food offerings included New York strip steak, roasted chicken breast, or vegetarian toasted farro risotto. What more could you ask for? As a matter of fact, you can ask for signature drinks. How about a Sub Zero or a Fiery Mule? They both looked very good. We could tell everyone was enjoying dinner and drinks!
Fathers Versus Sisters Fierce Battle
There was a fierce battle happening between the Fathers and Sisters at this fundraiser. It was a contest to see who could raise the most money. They were having so much fun! The guests laid down large sums of money for requested songs. Someone paid $3,000 for the song Satisfaction by The Rolling Stones. Additionally, we received $2,000 for playing Time After Time by Cynde Lauper. One of the Sisters did a tap dance to a Justin Timberlake song. She really got her feet tapping! All in all, the fundraising event was a success. The event raised over $25,000 for the school. That is some serious fundraising power!
