Felix and Fingers drove out to Peoria, Illinois for a FUN Peoria Catholic Diocese date night.  Not only was this a Valentine’s Day themed event, but this crowd was ready to request songs and dance!  The Most Reverend Daniel R. Jenky invited all married couples to celebrate the gift of Christian marriage at the Spalding Pastoral Center.  In addition to date night, there was a holy mass and renewal of wedding vows prior to our show.

A Perfect Peoria Catholic Diocese Date Night

Peoria Catholic Diocese Date NightThe story behind Valentine’s Day is a fascinating account of deep love, steadfast faith, and God-given courage.  As a matter of fact, this is a day that has enormous significance for Christians.  In addition to a Diocesan marriage mass, the Spalding Pastoral Center held a perfect Peoria Catholic Diocese date night for this lovebird occasion.  We were thrilled to hear from Reverend Jenky this was a SOLD OUT show!  If you are interested in the Catholic Diocese of Peoria or would like to participate in one of their many diocesan events please click here.

Parishes are recognizing the need to give married couples more resources to navigate challenges or keep their love alive.  The Peoria Catholic Diocese date night was just that.  These dinner shows often come with the caveat that couples should try to carve out time for themselves.  Our performers for this evening were Greg Percifield and Cassandra Kaczor.  At first, this crowd seemed a bit reserved.  Felix and Fingers knew just how to do a little bit of coaxing to bring everyone out of their shells.  It wasn’t long before the crowd was singing, clapping and dancing!  Before we knew it, our pianos were piling up with requests of love songs.

An awesome highlight of the Peoria Catholic Diocese date night was the candlelight dinner celebration.  Felix and Fingers would like to give a shout out to Catering Peoria. This company is indeed a talented group of planners, chefs, servers, and business professionals.  Not only did they provide amazing service, but they showed us how stress-free date night could be with the help of their Catering Peoria team.  In all honesty, the pork medallions were out of this world!  If you would like more information on Catering Peoria please click here.

A Nun’s Favorite Rock Concert

One of the most wonderful surprises of the Peoria Catholic Diocese date night was that nobody expected an interactive dueling piano show.  We can’t contain our excitement to let you know that EVERYONE was on their feet dancing and singing all night long!  There was a ton of fun with Margaritaville by Jimmy Buffet.  Cassandra teased Greg about him almost saying “the woman’s fault” and they had guests chuckling at their fake stage argument.  Furthermore, Cassandra led a Commodores dance routine during My Girl.  It worked out incredibly well.  Actually, everyone who came up on stage had a blast!

Since this event was for a Catholic group, there were several Sisters in the house. What is more, these Sisters were singing the loudest and dancing the most!  It was great to hear about one of the Sister’s favorite rock concerts she attended.  At the end of our conversation, she slipped us a request for Led Zepplin’s Stairway to Heaven. Who knew a Sister could rock out on a dance floor to Zepplin like that? It was AWESOME!  Above all, we recruited a group of men with a bit to imitate the Temptations.  It was fun to see guests pull out their cell phones to film this performance.  These guys really entertained everyone in the room.

Contact Us

In conclusion, everyone who approached us said we were THE BEST entertainment that they have ever seen at this event.   We knew this was a successful show for the fact that everyone wanted us to return!  At least one attendee (who approached Cassandra) and the venue manager (who approached Greg) asked for contact information for further booking.  To tell the truth, we don’t think we’ve ever heard more compliments at the end of a show than we did at the Peoria Catholic Diocese date night event.  If you would like us to play at your next gig, send an email to info@felixandfingers.com or click here for more information.  We look forward to hearing from you soon!
