It’s always great when a client hires us more than once. The first performance was such a success that they couldn’t see anyone else for “next year” to provide their entertainment. This year we returned to the Avantis Dome in Pekín, IL for the ICPR Fundraiser. Though we didn’t actually get to play inside the actual Avanti Dome itself, it was still pretty neat to marvel at its football field-sized architecture. 
Greg and I were perfectly placed in a banquet room off to the side to provide live Dueling Pianos for all of the donors who were in attendance. Usually we set up our pianos in a “V” formation with both players facing the entire audience. On this rare occasion, we were able to set up face to face with tables of eager participants seated all around us. It’s a nice change of pace and can be really fun for the players as we usually try and make the other person laugh while playing a tune. It’s a much more intimate interaction for us as the players to sit across and goof around with each other.
It’s All About the Fun(ds) at Avantis Dome
Taking requests and doing whacky things with guests is all fun and games, but this time it was all about raising that cold hard cash! We will take your requests, but not unless youre willing to hand over a Jackson or Hamilton first. After all, we were on a mission! This year ICPR managed to raise over $3000 total adding up to a great success for all involved. Felix & Fingers are always willing to help a cause and raise as much money as we can. It turns our usual show into an expert level challenge and every minute of it is so freaking fun!
I truly hope that we can make a return to the Avantis Dome for a third year of fundraising with a fresh batch of happy, motivated citizens.
