In August, Greg and I played our first wedding at Palos Country Club in Orland Park, IL.  We were performing for the ceremony as well as the reception, so we had a couple of different setup locations.  Going into a wedding like that, we can try to prepare for setup by reviewing floor plans and things of that nature, but you never really know what you’re getting into until you arrive at the venue.  Palos Country Club turned out to be not only quite versatile, but beautiful inside and out!

Palos Country Club Gazebo

For the ceremony we were DJ’ing a couple of songs for the processionals and recessional, so we ventured out to the Palos Country Club Gazebo to set up a few things.  It was so scenic!!  We’ve learned over time that sometimes some of the most beautiful places to get married outdoors often don’t have immediate access to power, but there was power available right there in the gazebo- we didn’t even have to run hundreds of feet of extension to it!

Palos Country Club Gazebo

The path leading up to the gazebo offered guests an opportunity to view the endless green grounds of the Palos Country Club golf course as they approached the ceremony site.  With about 100 guests, there was plenty of room to seat everyone facing the quaint gazebo.  The space was just the cutest lil’ place to get hitched!

Palos Country Club Banquet Hall

Time to Get Dancing!

When the ceremony was over, it was time for guests to enjoy a few cocktails and get prepared for a night of dancing.  The Grand Ballroom at the Palos Country Club was practically built for dancing!  We had a large stage on which to set up our shells and keys, and immediately in front of us was a dance floor with ample space for guests to get down and boogie.

Palos Country Club Stage

The Palos Country Club Grand Ballroom was beautiful on its own, but the up lights we provided for the reception really added a level of distinction!  With the pianos onstage, lights bordering the room, and guests filling the dance floor, it was easy to fill in the blanks with a fun wedding.
