Driving towards Morton, Illinois to perform our Morton Library All Ages Public Outdoor Festival was so exciting. Our players kept everyone singing, dancing and happy throughout their show. For those reasons alone, our gig was a blast!
Morton Library All Ages Public Outdoor Festival Morton Grove, Illinois
Firstly, from the outside, the Morton Library is decorated with lovely landscaping and a cool architectural design. Morton Library’s garden is beautiful. Oh, and by the way, our performers for this all-ages outdoor gig were Eric Ronquillo and Jim Gritschke. Two of our best brought a show like no other. Secondly, everyone at the Morton Library was so helpful and friendly. Our set-up was easy with the help of extra hands. We can’t thank our help enough. One of the best parts of our interactive show was our games. Games such as spelling L-O-V-E with our guest’s appendages went over well. Our crowd was into sing-alongs so Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond started our Morton Library All Ages Pubic Festival.
Tons of Kids Having Fun and Return Requests
Since this was an all-ages show, all the kids were dancing to our songs. Our pianos piled up quickly with song requests. Our tip jars started to overflow. Everyone was very generous to us. Eric and Jim made sure to play every request and keep their audience happy.
At the same time, Eric and Jim had a ton of fun teaching the kids all of the callbacks. The kids loved learning callbacks. A highlight of our Morton Library All Ages Outdoor Festival was Edwin Collin’s A Girl Like You from the ’90s. Felix loved hearing our crowd sing this song proud. We thought it was awesomesauce!
We Don’t Talk About Bruno from Encanto was a hit. Even more, Eric and Jim had our 60’s crowd crooning to Summertime by Janis Joplin. Our audience sounded great!
After our show, guests came up to us and talked about how much they loved us. In other words, our client wants us back next year! As we packed up, some audience members came up to take pictures with us and their kids. We couldn’t be happier to oblige. Say CHEESE!
