Guests pulled up to the bride’s extended family home to attend Nicholas and Madelyn’s Harvard, Illinois barn wedding. A newly renovated horse shed was the location of the wedding reception. There, the horse shed had a stunning vaulted oak beam ceiling. Furthermore, tiny gold lights flickered throughout the beams to add a special glow. Here, the bride’s brother had laid out a dance floor in the center of the horse shed. In addition, there was an impressive, 6 foot sparkling gold light chandelier hanging from the center of the rafters. This set the mood for the evening of dancing and good times.
The decor was simple yet tasteful. Picnic tables were decorated with gold and black accents. Main Street Meat in Harvard, Illinois catered an amazing feast. Who doesn’t like BBQ and all the fresh side fixin’s? There was a cupcake table for guests to enjoy. However, the bride and groom had all the small details covered with a “keg truck” parked outside the horse shed offering delicious craft beers. Corn fields for miles paired with fresh country air. Special Evening for All
Guests had a great time shouting out requests for Robert and Sam of Felix and Fingers to play. A special touch for the evening was the Anniversary Dance. In other words, couples were asked to come out on the dance floor based on how long they were married. We had the crowd up and dancing throughout the evening. That is to say, from John Michael Montgomery, to Jackson 5, to Frozen the dance floor went nuts! To put it another way, the singing and dancing lasted well into the evening!
