A beautiful and spacious venue, Glen Oak Country Club delivered an excellent experience for all involved. Located halfway between Schaumburg and Naperville, this venue in Glen Ellyn, IL was exceptional. Felix and Fingers enjoyed celebrating and performing for this Glen Oak wedding of Sean and Erin and their wonderful family and friends.

When we first entered into the reception hall, a large, barn shaped roof, chandelier-like lights hanging from the ceiling, beautifully arranged tables, and two rooms available for dinner and dancing greeted us. The speakers that we used for the reception reached both rooms which we found to be incredibly convenient to play for all of the guests at any point during the evening. Additionally, we set up the dance floor. We played for the guests during dinner on their real piano and took requests. We loved playing a variety of old and new hits, including “Everything” by Michael Bublé which fit the wedding atmosphere perfectly. The guests got a kick out of all the different songs they could request throughout the evening.

After dinner and toasts, we moved on to what may be the highlight of most wedding receptions – the dancing. We love what we do at Felix and Fingers, but what makes weddings and other events fun for us is when our guests have as much if not more fun than we do. Before getting down to some great music, we all shared in a really special moment. At this Glen Oak wedding, we played and sang the bride and groom’s first dance on guitar.
When we get to take part and help create moments that will be remembered forever, and we take a step back and know that these are the moments that make what we do worthwhile. Moreover, as much as we love those special moments, we love to see guests take command of the dance floor. The dance floor was electric. Everyone was out there busting their moves. The bride and her mother did a zumba dance to “This is What You Came For” by Calvin Harris and everyone went crazy. The requests for old and new songs came pouring in, and the night was one for the books.
