The Court Appointed Special Advocates fundraiser (CASA) was without doubt a SPECTACULAR show! Money raised at this event was for families that provide temporary homes for children until they are placed with permanent families. This SOLD OUT event was held at the Brick House Grill at the Unique Suites Hotel in Charleston, Illinois. Felix and Fingers had so much FUN interacting with their audience. Most of all, we enjoyed being part of a successful show and raising money for a great cause!

Court Appointed Special Advocates Fundraiser Charleston Illinois

Court Appointed Special Advocates FundraiserTo begin with, Felix and Fingers raised nearly $1,700.00 for CASA of East Central Illinois. Guests arrived at the Brick House Grill ready to have a great time. Not only did this hotel provide a beautiful setting, but their friendly and helpful staff made this event a great success. Unique Suites Hotel offers over 4,000 square feet of flexible space and can accommodate groups from 10 to 300 guests. If you would like more information on Unique Suites Hotel please click here.

The only thing (in our opinion) better than a fun party is the food! Hence, this hungry crowd enjoyed a wide array of American cuisine favorites chased by signature cocktails. During this time our performers, Katrina Nilsen and Greg Percifield dueled favorites such as Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond and Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison.

What is more, there was a wad of cash dropped in our tip jar to call up a guest and sing some country tunes. So, Iowa’s basketball coach got up on stage and belted out Family Tradition by Hank Williams Jr. and Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash. We LOVED that he sang IN KEY without looking at the words!

Encores and Fun Games

Court Appointed Special Advocates FundraiserThe fundraising from our dueling piano show may or may not have surpassed the Court Appointed Special Advocates Fundraiser auction. All we do know is our tip jars were OVERFLOWING with generosity! Between the silent auction and tons of fun games everyone had a GREAT time! Our performers had this crowd play out a very successful LOVE game. Three couples participated and 2 couples figured out spelling the word LOVE with their bodies!

Feel like putting the spotlight on someone for their birthday? We received money to crack some lighthearted jokes about aging. The birthday guest LOVED IT. Furthermore, we had the crowd engage in a heads and tails game which was very popular. The winner received a bottle of Tito’s vodka! By the end of the night, money was pouring in to have a group of guys get up on stage and dance to Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-A-Lot. That bottle of Tito’s may or may not have been opened!

Above all, screams for Free Bird by Lynryd Skynyrd commenced at the end of this event. This crowd wasn’t ready to stop. Felix and Fingers played just a bit of this song and ended on a different grand exit. Hence, Joy to the World by Pentatonix was a hit. We called out a female guest who pulled all the right moves. She managed to get the entire audience to jump in and follow. Everyone had a BLAST!
