Felix and Fingers had a special connection when we played for this Cotillion Banquets School Fundraiser. Our performer, Sam, works at the school. He definitely had rock star status amongst his fellow coworkers as well as his students and their parents. This 2019 Gala and Auction benefiting St. Peter Lutheran School is one more example of how we put the “fun” in fundraising.

St. Peter Lutheran School 2019 Gala and Auction

St. Peter Lutheran School is one special place. In fact, the Daily Herald voted it as the best private school in the area in 2018. They are dedicated to providing a strong academic, Christian education for the students in Arlington Heights, Illinois and its surrounding suburbs. You can click here if you would like to read more about this wonderful private school and their mission. We loved seeing our very own, Sam Baker, interacting with everyone and we could easily see how his coworkers appreciate him. Although, that was never in question with us because we already know how awesome he is. Along with his partner, Mike Sherman, these guys rocked the night. One thing you will find about Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos is that our musicians are some of the most talented around.

Don’t Stop the (live) Music

The original plan was for these two to play their dueling piano set and follow that with a DJ set. However, due to popular demand, they had to abandon the DJ set and play another 30 minutes of their live dueling piano show. The teaching and administrative staff really joined in the party as well. The pastor’s wife requested Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody and another admin requested No Diggity by Blackstreet. Assistant Principal Smith loved getting up on the mic and singing along. And the principal? Well, Principal Rudi is a Texan and loved George Straits’ Ocean Front Property. The staff sang right into the microphone along with Sam to songs such as Rick Springfield’s Jessie’s Girl, among others.

Cotillion Banquets School Fundraiser

Cotillion Banquets School Fundraiser dance floorWe found the venue to be perfect for this Cotillion Banquets School Fundraiser. You can find the Cotillion in the northwest Chicago suburb of Palatine, Il. This banquet hall has multiple options with room sizes and seating capacity. The staff is excellent. They circled the room with mouthwatering appetizers such as spinach spanakopita and marinated chicken tenders. The bar staff kept busy making sure everyone was sufficiently watered down to begin the live auction and the silent bidding. The 2019 Gala and Auction for the St. Peter Lutheran school community was a huge success. One factor was it’s exciting spy theme. Songs like Secret Agent Man by Johnny Rivers as well as the theme song from Mission Impossible were huge hits. A final highlight of the night was when Mike successfully rapped Forgot About Dre while managing to keep it entirely PG rated. We raised a ton of tips that came along with the song requests and just like we do for the many fundraisers we play, those tips go right back to the cause. Give us a call and let’s talk about your upcoming fundraiser. Not only will your guests have the time of their lives, the money we help you raise will have a huge impact on your final dollar amount.
