Concorde Banquets is known for hosting exquisite weddings and they did not disappoint. From their bucolic swan pond to their elegant ballroom, this was the perfect place for a wedding in such troubling times. The sights weren’t the only delight of the evening though. Concorde’s food was amazing. Their porkchops were some of the best we’ve ever had! High School Sweethearts Together at Last
The bride and groom had been high school sweethearts and their connection undeniable. We were a little worried about an October wedding, especially since most of the ceremony was outside. Luckily, the weather was perfect without a drop of rain. However, after the beautiful gazebo ceremony, there was barely a dry eye in the crowd. After the ceremony, the happy couple had a sparkler send off right to the dance floor! It couldn’t have been more perfect.
Timeless Classics
It was shocking how this sweet and demure couple could really get down when the party started! They and the rest of the guests had some great taste in music. We started with Hallelujah, I Love Her So by Ray Charles and went right into You May Be Right by Billy Joel. The funniest moment of the night happened after we played John Denver’s Take Me Home, Country Roads and then, coincidently, got a request for Old Town Road by Lil Nas X! We also got to play the obligatory finale of Closing Time by Semisonic.
