The aroma of teriyaki salmon and crunchy tofu from the sushi buffet permeated the room as visitors arrived. Everyone wrote down their song requests while standing in line anxious to take part in the festivities. Kamehachi’s A Spectacular Night of Dueling Pianos
Jim Gritschke and Katherine Plier ascended the stage and thrilled the crowd with their talent. This audience sang in joy at our first note, knowing it was Beyonce’s Cuff It. Leah, the birthday girl, fired up the party with I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor. Before her performance, she invited all the women to join her on the dance floor.
This exciting event, which incorporated music from the 1980s and 1990s, exuded nostalgia. Everyone danced and sang along to the ageless classic Piano Man by Billy Joel. This in fact established a feeling of harmony and happiness.
After finishing their dueling set, Katherine and Jim switched to a fun DJ dance party. The room was filled with the alluring beats of 2000s R&B, and our audience eagerly moved to the beat. Everyone was grooving in unison to Missy Elliott’s anthems such as Told Ya and Work It. These hit songs definitely created an amazing atmosphere that will live in their memory forever.
