This Hilton Downtown AMUG Conference took place right in the heart of downtown Chicago, Illinois. This super fun event was a conference and expo for AMUG, which makes ink for 3D printers. And with 1500 people, this was no small event!
Hilton Downtown AMUG Conference
The Hilton Downtown Chicago Hotel is quite a gem. We were wondering how well they would do with this large of a group. These professionals had no problem at all keeping 1500 hungry and thirsty people well-fed and well-hydrated. In fact, there were 18 separate bars! Wow! Multiple food stations were placed throughout that offered delicious cuisine from countries all around the world. We found this catering option perfect for this large event. The huge ballroom is quite exquisite in its decor and would be fitting for even the formalist of occasions. No Dance Floor, No Problem
This is one of the more epic events our performers Jennifer and Mike have done, Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos plays for all sorts of events, both large and small. This was a corporate conference for this group and they were ready to have a blast. Originally, a dance floor was not in the plans, but this crew, they pushed away tables and made their own! Sometimes the music moves you and you just can’t help turning our dueling piano show into a major dance party. In addition, we loved the great requests we received. The first song Jennifer sang was Dolly Parton’s Jolene. Even better, Mike had a request for his all time favorite, Mr. Blue Sky by ELO.
The Hilton even let us plug into their sound system so our music was amplified throughout the room. That was so important for a group this large as well as a ballroom this size. We kept our show going strong throughout the night and it was awesome seeing everyone’s positive reactions. The compliments were coming in like crazy! Our contact client was so much fun that we actually ended up hanging out with him after our show. It certainly helped that we had rooms at the Hilton Downtown.
