It was a beautiful day, although the Windy City stood up to it’s name, for the Fair Lady reception cruise.  Felix and Fingers rolled their piano’s onto the Fair Lady cruise boat for a fun and interactive rehearsal dinner.  Chicago’s Fair Lady is part of a large, 6 fleet boat touring operation specifically offering spectacular views of the skyline.  Congratulations Jennifer and Ryan on your special day!

Fair Lady Reception Cruise Chicago

Fair Lady Reception CruiseOur client Don Lane (friend of the bride) rented the Fair Lady for a 3 hour wedding reception dinner.  A change in plans moved the cruise to the Chicago river as the winds made the lake too choppy.  To be honest, the change in plans worked out just fine.  Hence, the cruise turned out to be an architectural twilight tour of the skyline!

Guests were treated to amazing views of Chicago’s architecture while enjoying cocktails from two full service bars.  The Fair Lady is no stranger to technology and offered guests digital Ipod docks. We noticed the Fair Lady was just the right size for roughly 125 guests attending the reception cruise.  If you would like to rent or take a tour on the Fair Lady click here.

Wedding Reception Chicago Style

Fair Lady Reception CruiseOur performers for the Fair Lady reception cruise were Mike Scott, Mike Potts and Mike Sherman. To start with, Jennifer and Ryan planned out the perfect buffet with deep dish pizza, hot dogs and Italian beef sandwiches.  Everyone raved it was delicious!  Afterwards, Jennifer and Ryan surprised the guests by singing a few songs.  More importantly, there was some perfect timing here for their performance.  As the Fair Lady turned a corner, dusk allowed everyone to watch the city light up.  It was beautiful.  While this was happening, Jennifer and Ryan sang and acted out How Far I’ll Go from Moana.  The fact this performance came together with perfect skyline timing was spectacular!

Felix and Fingers enjoyed views of the Chicago Riverwalk from the Fair Lady reception cruise.  The Chicago Riverwalk is an open, pedestrian waterfront with cool places to visit such as shops and restaurants.  If you’d like to visit the Chicago Riverwalk click here.  Above all, as the Fair Lady reception cruise came to an end Jennifer showed us her talent.  Felix and Fingers played a fabulous rendition of Come Sail Away by Styx. Jennifer closed out the show by singing every word to it!
