If you’re searching for a hassle-free and unique wedding venue, you should look no further than a museum.  The Chicago History Museum wedding event provided an elegant backdrop for the most important day of Claire and Mike’s life.  As an added bonus, this museum offered a fun and engaging reception venue. The Chicago History Museum is located in the heart of Lincoln Park (Illinois) and offers breathtaking views. Museums hold some of the greatest love stories ever depicted so what a better location?  Congratulations Claire and Mike, we wish you the best!

Chicago History Museum Wedding Event Illinois

Chicago History Museum Wedding EventWhile holding you next event within a blank canvas may seem enticing, think of museum architecture and decor that could add to your big day.  In fact, there is an impressive stairway leading into the hall allowing for amazing photo opportunities.  On the other hand, check out the life-sized train car reproduction adjacent to the cocktail area, it’s super cool!  If you would like to tour the Chicago History Museum please click here.

Our performers for the Chicago History Museum wedding event were Mike Potts and Duncan Parker.  We appreciated the museum’s baby grand in the foyer. This made our load in and set up a heck of a lot easier.  To tell the truth, it was awesome seeing guests perusing artifacts AND dancing during cocktail hour.  During this time, Mike kept the crowd happy with songs such as So What by Miles Davis as everyone enjoyed butler passed hors d’oeuvres and champagne.

An Elegant Wedding Affair

Chicago History Museum Wedding EventThe Chicago History Museum has in-house service relationships with local caterers, rental companies, photographers, and videographers for any event. That means you’ll save time, and maybe even money, on finding and booking these services yourself.  During a delicious catered dinner, Felix and Fingers enjoyed a sublime filet mignon as they played a mix of pre-recorded background music.  A highlight of the evening was when Duncan used his ukulele for the first dance.  There was not a dry eye left in the room when Louis Armstrong’s Wonderful World was completed.

Don’t worry about your cranky uncle who doesn’t like weddings because he won’t talk or dance with anyone. Guests who did not feel like dancing browsed the galleries at the museum, there was always plenty to do for everyone.  Felix and Fingers did what they do best, kept the crowd on the dance floor!  Our performers handled this high energy crowd with ease.  This wild and crazy group of people danced to EVERYTHING, especially boy band music.  If you ever want to see some great moves throw down Girlfriend by NSYNC, then follow with MMMbop by Hanson…the floor was PACKED!
