Felix and Fingers had a blast performing at the Saint Thomas High School fundraiser. Furthermore all proceeds and tips were donated to The High School of Saint Thomas More in Champaign, Illinois. Felix and Fingers were HAPPY hearing everyone enjoyed a successful and fun charity event!
Saint Thomas High School Fundraiser Champaign
The Saint Thomas High School fundraiser was held in the school’s gymnasium. Upon arrival, Felix and Fingers couldn’t believe their eyes they were in a gym. Furthermore, the folks at St. Thomas have been running this fundraiser for a number of years and it shows. For example, the decorations, food and lighting completely transformed this gymnasium into a first class venue room. From the silver candelabras placed on our pianos to the elegant table decor, one might have thought they were in an upscale restaurant. Our performers for the Saint Thomas High School fundraiser were T. Duncan Parker and Emily. This was not our first time performing for the school’s fundraiser and it was great to see some familiar faces. We started off cocktail hour with $100 bids on songs such as I’ll Stand By You by Carrie Underwood and Heal the World by Michael Jackson. Guests enjoyed appetizers while dancing and singing to those songs. Furthermore, a $50 request by Emily was paid in full to perform Spotless Mind by Jhene Aiko. It was clear the $50 was from a HUGE Jhene Aiko fan.
Blue Shells and Getaways
At the beginning of Felix and Fingers career, they had purchased broken pianos. WHY in the world would a top-rated dueling piano show purchase broken pianos? Because we gutted and painted them a vibrant blue, now they serve as gorgeous shells for our real pianos! To reserve these elegant blue beauties, give us a call and upgrade you event today. Felix and Fingers wanted to get the crowd into a charitable groove as they enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner. For instance, we asked for $100 to play I Need a Dollar by Aloe Blacc. Our audience came through with the donation helping raise a lot of money for the high school.
The Saint Thomas High School Fundraiser was a BIG auction event with tons of requests. To start with, Emily read the items to bid on and T. Duncan Parker played the theme music. As a matter of fact, one of the items to bid on was a trip to the Bahamas. To be honest, the best song T. Duncan Parker could quickly think of to play for a few thousand dollars was Kokomo by The Beach Boys. It must have worked because there’s one happy camper packing for the Bahamas. Some of the bigger community names were dancing up a storm, not to mention two big wigs sang Almost Paradise by Mike Reno and Ann Wilson. To be honest, it was a perfect duet under the dashboard lights and brought in over $100!
