Felix and Fingers grabbed their 10 gallon hats to perform at the iHotel wedding event in Champaign, Illinois. The iHotel and Conference Center was a perfect venue choice during the holidays with it’s beautiful Christmas decor. We found the hotel staff friendly and attentive assisting us with all of our needs. Moreover, a hot Continental breakfast included with your stay is always a bonus! Congratulations Jessica and Logan!
iHotel Wedding Event Champaign Illinois
Our performers for the iHotel Wedding Event were Mike Sherman and Greg Percifield. For one thing, these guys have stayed at their share of hotels. They found the iHotel and Conference Center above standards with cleanliness and comfort. Mike and Greg had a chance to practice first dance songs before the iHotel wedding event since their hotel rooms were at the venue . This hotel and conference center is top notch from reservation through checkout.
To begin with, attentive staff greeted our performers in the bright and clean hotel lobby In all honesty, Felix and Fingers couldn’t be happier with the helpful load in and equipment set up assistance we received. Felix and Fingers always have a great time performing during wedding party entrances. Additionally, songs such as I Like It, I Love It by Tim McGraw were played during the announcements. This was a fun crowd and they sang along with us through cocktail hour. There were even a few guests who hit those high notes of Rolling in the Deep by Adele. Dinner was amazing. Jessica and Logan knew how to keep guests happy with a buffet of fried chicken, lasagna and chipped beef. All three were delicious! Furthermore, a fabulous staff was super helpful all night long. One of the employees (Tristan) was particularly helpful coordinating with us throughout the evening making sure everything was perfect.
Late Night Snacks and Dollar Dances
Remember those first dance country songs Felix and Fingers were practicing prior to the iHotel wedding event? We nailed them and all went smoothly as expected. What is more, we guessed there were going to be tons of country songs requested but to be honest the iHotel wedding event was a huge assortment of music. Our performers really got a workout with the dollar dance. This is a dance where guests pay to dance with the bride and groom. Even with our performers trying to move guests along Mike and Greg still had to play four or five entire songs for everyone to have a spin with Jessica and Logan!
Furthermore, the father of the bride was more than happy to let us know multiple times throughout the evening how much fun everyone was having. He had never been to a wedding where EVERYONE stayed for the dancing! Hence, this is how Felix and Fingers can tell if a wedding is successful and fun. An added bonus to the evening was a late night nacho bar. The bride and groom made sure those delicious carbs kept people on the dance floor!
