The Carlinville Farm Wedding was a joyous event celebrating the marriage of Nick and Lacy. And they didn’t need to go far as it took place right on Lacy’s parents’ farm. Truly a fun night it was as everyone enjoyed dancing in the converted barn space and toasting to the bride and groom.
Carlinville Farm Wedding
This wedding, full of family and friends, was in a huge warehouse sized building on the bride’s parents’ property. Inside, it was beautifully decked out and looked like a fairyland. Fresh lemons were a huge part of the decor and we loved that idea. We have never seen fresh fruit used this way for wedding decor and it really worked. Originally, the plan was to have the ceremony outside but Mother Nature did not agree. Hence, we moved inside and it was so perfect that it just had to be meant for the gorgeously decorated indoor space. We realize it can be frustrating for those planning outdoor ceremonies but in this case, plan B was an even better choice.
Time to Party
Following the beautiful ceremony, it was time for the reception and this group was ready to dance. They especially love singing and dancing along to music from the 80’s so we played hits such as Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance With Somebody and Into the Groove from Madonna. We also had some fun old time rock and roll requests like Joe Turner’s Shake, Rattle, and Roll and Cal Perkin’s Blue Suede Shoes. Maybe it was the beer or those fancy, and delicious, watermelon margaritas but this group seemed to love every single song we played. We’re pretty sure all the credit goes to us. At least we hope so!
