Felix and Fingers had the opportunity to perform for the Big Horse VIneyards Public Event for the second time and felt excited to be back. Held at Native Trails Winery in Lewiston, Illinois, the event and venue had plenty to offer its guests. Big Horse Vineyards Public Event
This was our second time back, and I feel that this show had improved much since our last visit a few years ago. This time, they had prepared an excellent dinner, which included an excellent version of pork and potatoes. As for the space of the venue, they set up a small gathering hall for the event as well as an area for guests to get up and dance if they wished. Another aspect they added to the show was we had two more speakers to share our sound with at Big Horse Winery. We had a grand total of six speakers for this show, which provided a nice even sound and good monitors. This added to our show and made our music project and sound even better for everyone to hear! Finally, much to our excitement, Big Horse Vineyards is expanding and the owner inquired about having us there for one of their outdoor summer shows. What an honor at such a great venue!
The Music
We had so much fun here! We played for three hours and kept a very well rounded show. Two hundred people showed up to this event and by the end of the night it seemed like everyone was still there. The guests had a great time requesting all sorts of songs. One of our favorites we played that night, “Uptown Funk”, had an entire group up front dancing in a circle in front of us.
We loved the energy that they had. It is always our priority to make sure each show fits the needs of the client and the crowd, so we always come prepared with music as well as with the requests from the crowd. Near the end of the night, we tried to briefly play a little bit of the many songs we did not have time to get to. We were so bummed that we didn’t have time to play it. So, to whomever requested “Bennie and the Jets”, make sure you come back next time! We will have that song queued up and ready to go! We hope to come back to play for another Big Horse Vineyards Public Event and have this song and many others in mind when we do!
