Felix and Fingers were back in Barrington, IL to perform at Lake Barrington Shores public event. A great crowd was present looking forward to our interactive dueling piano show. We did not disappoint. Felix and Fingers had a great time seeing everyone in this community dancing and singing the entire evening. We thought it was a great turnout, especially with a VIP guest attending the Lake Barrington Shores public event.
The Lodge at Lake Barrington Shores Public Event
Felix and Fingers arrived at the Lakes Shores gated community in Barrington, Illinois ready to party. Our performers for the evening were Greg Percifield and Mike Sherman. A special guest who lives at this community was one of our performer’s mother. Additionally, we had a really fun time planning the Lake Barrington Shores public event because the coordinator has a great sense of humor. We tried several times to confuse her on whether or not our performer’s mom was really his mom!
We held our show at The Lodge and it was a perfect size for roughly 100 guests. The Lodge had great outdoor views of it’s natural surroundings. More importantly, it had a simple yet rustic decor with high beam ceilings and a large brick fireplace. We had set up our pianos towards the back of the room with some space between the tables for the dance floor. Dinner and Dancing
After a delicious dinner buffet, Felix and Fingers kicked it into high gear at the Lake Barrington Shores public event! In addition to the song requests that were pouring in, we made sure everyone was on the dance floor having a great time. For one thing, we started out our show with some oldies but goodies and eventually moved into Ed Sheeran. In particular, this crowd was a ton of fun with the mix of music they were requesting. We were totally surprised that songs like Sugar Sugar by the Archies would be followed with an American rock band’s song Icky Thump by The White Stripes. One of the highlight’s of our evening was by a gentleman who came up and sang My Girl by The Temptations. Apparently our guest singer used to sing in a barbershop quartet A Capella group. The crowd loved him!
Felix and Fingers always like to throw a twist into their dueling piano show. For example, we like to put together a letter game and had 3 teams give it their all. In all honesty, everyone had a blast at the Lake Barrington Shores public event! Not only was there a ton of dancing but even more, fantastic singing! One of our favorite requests was The No No Song by Ringo Starr, the crowd was definitely getting specific! In conclusion, we finished the night with an encore of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. Like many of the other songs, the entire crowd sang along with gusto. This song by Queen seems to be perfect for a grand finale these days with the film Bohemian Rhapsody being released a few months ago.
