The Avanti Dome, located in Pekin, Illinois which is a short drive from Peoria, Illinois hosted the Children’s Hospital of Illinois Fundraiser. Felix and Fingers dueling pianos had the chance to perform at this Avanti’s Dome Fundraiser and felt honored to come back and do this fundraiser for the second year in a row.
Avanti’s Dome Fundraiser
The event hall was fairly large and was a perfect space for all the fundraiser supporters. Sam and I found ourselves in the center of the room with the tables surrounding us. Though we’re often set up on a stage, we have no problem being the “center of attention”. The in-the-round set up allowed us to interact with guests in a unique way and worked out great for this fundraiser! Despite all the tables, guests still danced, clapped, and sang along to what we played. One of our favorites that we played was “Uptown Funk” which had nearly everyone up on their feet. We love being able to provide music and entertainment for a charitable cause.
Giving Back
With all of the fundraisers we play, any tips that we make go straight to the cause, charity, fundraiser or foundation. Last year we raised 800 dollars in tips, and this year we contributed 1050 dollars in tips towards the Children’s Hospital at this Avanti’s Dome Fundraiser. Our primary job is to provide entertainment and music for different events, however, it brings us so much joy to be able to perform and give back to our community in a variety of ways. Overall, we had a successful fundraiser and everyone enjoyed the food, venue, music, and atmosphere.
