HOME Bar in Arlington Heights was the venue of choice for an Encompass Insurance holiday party.  A division of Allstate, the Encompass team threw a great Thursday night corporate event, and dueling pianos at HOME Bar was the winning combination

HOME Bar (H.O.M.E)

House of Music and Entertainment, or HOME for short, is a well known Arlington Heights when it comes to live music.  They have an amazing back room that can play host to large bands and much larger audiences.  With a huge stage and professional sound system, HOME bar is a stable of the Northwest Suburban Nightlife.  For years I’ve known of this venue and Mike S and I were extremely excited to get our keys in door for a corporate holiday party!

HOME Bar also has a great looking restaurant area as well.  There’s a huge bar, plenty of tables, and even a small stage for live music (which would actually be perfect for a friday night dueling pianos show!).  Where as so many concert venues really get beat up by the patrons, HOME bar is a step above.  It’s clear that the HOME Bar management and staff value a well maintained music venue.

Holiday Corporate Events

Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos performs holiday events and corporate functions year round, but December is by far our busiest month.  However Encompass was able to work around an otherwise busy schedule by booking a Thursday event. Weekday events for corporate functions can really make a lot of sense.  DJs can lack the interaction to engage a weekday crowd and a band doesn’t offer the flexibility and comedy.  Dueling pianos is a “home” run.  Weekday crowds are hard to please (less drinking, work the next day, boss is sitting at the table), so the entertainment needs to step up to the occasion.  Luckily our dueling pianos show is made for this.

Dueling on a Thursday for Corporate

Dueling pianos is an all request show, meaning anything from Sinatra to Minaj is fair game to request.  The show also utilizes call downs and participation games to get guests on stage.  For corporate events, this works great!  Imagine the CEO or President having to dance to a song of the crowds choosing, or the advertising department all getting on stage and learning some funny choreography.  The show thrives on participation, which is the best way to break through to a weekday crowd.

If you haven’t been there, swing by HOME bar next chance you get.  If you’ve been there…I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you why to go back.  Check out a band, order a meal, it’s truly a great venue.  And if your planning an event, fundraiser, holiday party, maybe even a wedding, talk to their staff.  The venue really lends itself well to private events and I know we’d love to be back!
