Alfond Inn Wedding Event Winter Park Florida
Allison and Marc could not have been a more nicer couple to work with! To begin with, Felix and Fingers pulled up to a GORGEOUS hotel located in a scenic section of town. Our performers had a chance to mix and mingle with guests prior to cocktail hour. Nate and Brandon set up their show in a lovely hall with local art adorning the walls. Everyone was in a lively mood. After introducing ourselves, we played a variety of light jazz as guests enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres and signature Old Fashions. It was fun getting to know everyone!
Dinner was simply delicious. Nate and Brandon played a great variety of music by Andrea Bocelli and Adam Doleac throughout the meal. We also noticed the average level of speeches were raised given this was a room full of lawyers! Allison requested Let it Go from the movie Frozen, so we had her tear up some napkins and throw it over the wedding party. Hence, it was a funny moment!
A Wonderful Blend of Old and New
Keeping with more traditional elements, Allison and Marc had a bouquet and garter toss. The women were all about the bouquet as the men were more reluctant, but that made it even more funny! We played Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins during the toss. In fact, the men tripped ALL OVER each other to catch it. The entire crowd erupted with laughter. The bride and groom’s wedding list was from all over the world, mostly from Sweden. TONS of fun ABBA songs!
The Alfond Inn wedding event was a wonderful blend of old and new. Even the wallflowers found their feet wiggling to our show. Some of the older folk requested swing songs such as In the Mood by Glenn Miller. They showed off their twirls and steps keeping up with the beat! The Alfond Inn wedding event was held on the 21st night of September, so of course, September by Earth, Wind and Fire was a HIT! Everyone danced the night away to requested songs and fun line dances. We LOVED getting our audience involved in a few sing a longs such as Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond and Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey. Everyone sounded GREAT!
