Private Residence Wedding Celebration Santa Ana California
Our performers for this Private Residence Wedding Celebration were Shawn Grindle and Leana Courtney. Arriving with a smile and ready to rock the house down, this amazing duo knew how to make their audience happy. Cocktail hour started immediately. We got to perform on the couple’s baby grand piano. We played mostly instrumental music, although towards the end our performers started taking requests and singing for everyone in the living room!
Immediately after a delicious catered dinner, two guests grabbed a towel and decided to makeshift a Limbo bar. Boy was that fun. This Limbo idea became an epic 15 minutes of a Limbo tournament. Natalie’s dad, David, made it much further than anyone anticipated. We all had a blast!
Last Minute Song Requests and Surprise Speeches
We have to say we outdid ourselves with the Conga line at this Private Residence Wedding Celebration. Leana stood up and gave the bride 2 maracas to make her the leader. Every time she tapped somebody she passed, they had to join the line. Before we knew it, all of the guests were doing a conga line through the tables and dance floor. This Conga line lasted for 3 songs! No surprise Conga by Gloria Estefan and The Sound Machine was played. The crowd loved it.
Shortly before the last song of the night, the bride’s brother Mike came up to give a heartwarming speech in the middle of our show. This was unusual to do a speech in the middle of our show, but it worked perfectly and brought everybody toward the dance floor afterwards.
For the very last song of the night, our crowd wanted to hear a last minute tune of In The Navy by the Village People. Shawn and Leana were not familiar with this song. Our performers went and listened to it and it went over great! Definitely a very unique last song. Not one our two young performers had ever heard before. Shawn nailed it on the spot! Everyone loved it!
