Felix and Fingers LOVED playing at the Ron Pearson Center wedding event located in West Des Moines, Iowa! Everyone was SO NICE to us. We felt like FAMILY! Our performers for this fun party were Katrina Nilsen and Jim Gritschke. As a matter of fact, our performers made sure their audience had a BLAST! To begin with, the ceremony and reception took place in two different beautifully lit rooms at the Ron Pearson Center (ran by Hy-Vee). Brooke was a FANTASTIC venue manager and kept everything running smoothly. The Ron Pearson Center is a stunning modern facility. This venue will help create the special occasion of your dreams! Cocktail hour was the bomb. Guests enjoyed a variety of delicious appetizers and signature drinks. Our performers kept the dance floor busy with songs such as Stuck Like Glue by Sugarland. Everyone was having a GRAND time!
A Special Holiday Wedding
The chef inspired meal was served on a lovely black and gold colored table scheme for the reception. Who doesn’t love black sequin table cloth?! On the other hand, for dessert, the bride and groom had a peg wall with donuts on it! All in all, the food was expertly prepared and DELICIOUS. After dinner there must have been 4 songs that sparked a Conga line. Therefore, the Conga became a fun theme throughout the evening. In fact, we decided to end the final Conga with Fireball by Pitbull. This song was a HIT!
One of the groomsmen had requested Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice. In all honesty, he killed it. As a matter of fact, the entire room was AWESTRUCK by his performance! We LOVED signing a Christmas ornament for the bride and groom’s tree. What a great memory piece indeed. The Ron Pearson Center wedding event song request list leaned more towards 90’s music and country. We actually noticed a song that kept being requested over and over again. This tune was Fancy by Reba McIntyre. As soon as we played it, a circle formed on the dance floor around the most adorable little red haired flower girl. Guests took turns belting out the tune and we made this little girl a star. We informed everyone she was going to be the next Reba!
