The Peoria Civic Center wedding event was a BLAST! Our performers, Sam Baker and Michael Sherman, packed up their equipment and drove out to Peoria, Illinois. To start with, Peoria Civic Center’s theater stage allowed for AMAZING and unique photo opportunities. On the other hand, the theater lobby was such a COOL place for the reception! Cocktails were upstairs and guests had an awesome view of the ballroom. Felix and Fingers played background jazz as their audience enjoyed drinks and passed hors d’oeurves. Everyone had a GREAT time!
Unique Song Requests and Delicious Desserts
This convention center offers SAVOR…..Peoria as their exclusive in-house caterer. Hence, dinner was outstanding. In fact, the chicken was some of the best we’ve tasted, and we’ve eaten A LOT of chicken! Our performers kept a great vibe playing songs such as Write it Down by Hamzaa while everyone enjoyed their meal. A nice switch up to the traditional wedding cake was apple cider donuts for dessert. We may or may not have enjoyed an extra donut! Before things got wild, the mother of the bride danced with the groom. We thought that was a nice moment. Special memories indeed!
There was TONS of dancing and singing at the Peoria Civic Center wedding event. Never a dull moment with Felix and Fingers working the crowd. The bride and groom were SO NICE. They kept coming up to us and asking if WE were having a great time. The fact they were so KIND had us feeling like family. Felix and Fingers received tons of requests for unique songs, which we indeed LOVE. A crowd favorite was the groom’s request for the Ohio State Fight Song. Everyone went WILD! We even played the Grateful Dead. Scarlet Begonias and Touch of Grey were a HIT with this crowd. Above all, there was a late night popcorn snack with all the toppings. We thought that was AWESOME!
