Honoring fire and rescue service employees was never so much fun. Performing for the Wauconda Fire District corporate event was our very own T. Duncan Parker. Not only did he nail his solo act, but everyone had a BLAST!
Wauconda Fire District Corporate Event North Barrington Illinois
The Wauconda Fire District Corporate Event is a super fun, yearly appreciation dinner. There was a GREAT turnout of emergency personnel and their spouses this year. This venue is a prestigious, private country club located in North Barrington, Illinois. This facility offers year round activities. If interested, your family will have access to a pool, tennis courts and a highly-acclaimed Jack Nicklaus Signature Design golf course. To begin with, there were a few guests who were on duty and they arrived in their emergency vehicles. Their pumpers, firetrucks and ambulances were all parked in valet. It looked really COOL! T. Duncan Parker kicked off cocktail hour by getting everyone on the dance floor with songs such as The Heat is On by Glenn Fry. How’s that for ingenious? When T. Duncan Parker spoke on the phone with our client the Wauconda Fire District, he discussed songs and schedule. It was GREAT to be able to come up with his own FUN playlist for this amazing group of emergency personnel and their spouses.
Speeches, Awards and Slideshows
Dinner was outstandingly delicious. In fact, everyone was super impressed with the expertly prepared cuisine. Duncan DJ’d light background music during dinner which allowed everyone to mix and mingle. He also took a break during speeches and awards so everyone could enjoy a slideshow the Wauconda Fire District puts together every year. We were sad to hear this year a chief died suddenly and the room recognized his passing with beautiful memories. It was incredibly moving.
Duncan knew how to charmingly turn a moment of silence into a party with the first few notes of I’m on Fire by Bruce Springsteen. It wasn’t long before the floor was packed with this great song. Above all, there were requests for 70’s music so Duncan pumped out songs such as Play That Funky Music by Wild Cherry. It was from there things got a little CRAZY. Like when our performer played a guest request for Wild Thing by Ton Loc. She went WILD dancing to this song on a chair. In all honesty, the Wauconda Fire District corporate event was a HIT!
