The couple, Rileyann and Jon, saw a lit LOVE sign on one of our blogs and ordered it immediately. It looked AWESOME! Cocktail hour was a trip with songs such as Little White Church by Little Big Town. This wedding was big on fun and everyone was getting into the groove drinking delicious margaritas. It wasn’t long before we broke out El Jarabe Tapatio (the Mexican Hat Dance song) and packed the dance floor. Maybe it was the tequila, maybe it was our players, either way this fun loving group had a BLAST!
A Warm Wisconsin Welcome
This crowd was SO MUCH FUN. Felix and Fingers don’t know what it is about Wisconsin, but as soon as you cross the border, the entire state makes you feel like family! Felix and Fingers just love being informed there won’t be much dancing or singing at our gig. Challenge accepted!
If it wasn’t for a delicious buffet being served, not one guest wanted to leave the dance floor. But who really wants to miss out on mouthwatering fajitas and king sized burritos? During dinner we played light background music, only taking a break to enjoy THE BEST Mexican food in town. Additionally, our client had a donut wall as their cake replacement and as soon as we finished playing dinner this is where you could find us. Mmmmm……donuts!!
After the first dance (I Am Yours by Andy Grammer) and speeches, it got a little CRAZY. There was a specific point in the night where the show went from everyone dancing to country and top hits, to ALL rap requests. Hence, a truly DYNAMIC show! The highlight of the Casa Grande wedding event was indeed the music, oh and of course all the delicious Mexican food.
After a two and a half hour dueling piano session, Greg and Mike started to DJ, but only to come back and revisit dueling with a full sing along of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. Above all, we played one of the funniest versions of Staying Alive by the Bee Gees that we can ever remember. Have you ever seen a crowd go disco nuts? We have…and it was AWESOME. Our performers sang some amazing harmonies and Will almost broke some glass hitting the high notes!

In conclusion, Felix and Fingers would like to give a shout out to the friendly and helpful staff at the Casa Grande wedding event. Everyone was so nice and made sure we had everything we needed to play our successful gig! The bride and groom didn’t let the night end by just their send off, they actually invited us out for drinks after the reception. But as musicians, our job is never finished. Time to tear down and clean up so we can play our next event!
