OneStream Software brought us in to play for their Splash 2019 New Orleans Marriott corporate event. This was a lunch time show for a huge gathering of their employees. Felix and Fingers loves playing for such a large crowd.
Splash 2019 New Orleans Marriott
This wasn’t our first time playing at the New Orleans Canal Street Marriott. Hence, we were pretty excited when OneStream Software hired us for another gig at this great venue. The New Orleans Marriott offers excellent service, delicious food, and high class decor. It seems to be the premier venue for large events in the Big Easy and we can see why. We can’t wait to return and to play here again. A Huge Lunch Time Crowd
This event, titled Splash 2019, had over 850 people in attendance. That is a lot of people and we loved seeing how well the Marriott handled this size crowd. It is obvious they are used to large convention groups as they seemed to handle everything with ease. For us, we love large crowds too. Most often, our groups are a little bit smaller so when we have the chance to play in front of that many people, we are very excited. Since it was a business lunchtime performance, we knew it wasn’t going to be a wild and crazy dance party like some of our shows. But that’s okay and we like things a little more subdued once in a while too. We did get everyone going with a sing a long that included Neil Diamond’s Sweet Caroline and Livin’ On a Prayer by Bon Jovi. Those are songs to which everyone knows the words and are a sure bet for audience participation. What a great day we had in NOLA at this Splash 2019 New Orleans Marriott event. And after, we had plenty of time to stroll through the city and see all it has to offer.
