The Haight wedding event was where small town charm met big time romance.  Not only is The Haight a beautifully converted loft and warehouse, but it is located in the heart of historical Elgin, Illinois.  The bride and groom planned an unforgettable celebration allowing their nearest and dearest to attend a spectacular occasion.  Congratulations Kristen and Eric on your special day!

The Haight Wedding Event Elgin

Haight Wedding EventOur talented and charming performers for The Haight wedding event were Jennifer Lee Knuth and Robert Deason.  In fact, this was one of the first times Jennifer had ever sang while a bride walked down the aisle. The couple infused special touches by writing their own vows and used a palette of jewel tones perfect for a winter wedding.  But, of all the unique details, Kristen wore Eric’s mother’s wedding dress in memory of her on their big day!

The Haight is easily one of our most favorite and beautiful venues to perform at.  As a matter of fact, the natural wood, brick walls and amazing light make it an unforgettable event space.  Moreover, industrial elegance met chic design at The Haight wedding event.  If you would like to tour The Haight please click here.

To begin with, cocktail hour was held in the unique, first floor space and had a really cool vibe to it.  Guests enjoyed sipping on champagne to background music, while attentive staff circled the room with hors d’oeuvres.  In all honesty, the Gravlax on rye crisps with a mustard dill sauce were outstanding!

An Unforgettable Wedding Event

Haight Wedding EventProfessional planners at The Haight wedding event helped the couple bring their dream wedding to life.  Their dinner reception was full of cascading florals, whimsical table decor and handmade place cards.  The groom’s father was also his best man.  He gave an INCREDIBLY touching speech during dinner.  Not a dry eye in the house!  As guests mingled and chatted, they also enjoyed a mouthwatering prime rib to Amos Lee’s Arms of a Woman and Dead Sea by The Lumineers.  We provided essential background music making sure not to distract the ongoing socializing.  Above all, rather than a cake, the couple opted for a sweets table.  To tell the truth, we have never seen such an AMAZING variety of cookies and pastries!

The bride is a classically trained dancer.  She choreographed the couple’s first dance to Can’t Take My Eyes Off You by Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons.  The crowd enjoyed a lighthearted and fun dance. Being that we only played a portion of the song made it perfect.  Guests spilled out onto the floor by the end of the song, so our performers worked their magic turning this into a wild and crazy dance party!  Robert has a knack to churn up competition between the guys and gals.  For example, he performed a sing off to Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen with the entire crowd getting into it.  As a matter of fact, the whole performance felt like a music video!
