Felix loves a party crowd. Indeed, we noticed a different level of sandbox play with this crowd. Since this was a corporate party for Nations Roof, everything was awesome. This is a big time everything from construction to roofing. We even had one guest jumping up and down on chairs working the crowd. Everyone loved it.
What an amazing buffet set up. In fact, the poached scallops were out-of-this-world. Smoked baked salmon dominated all and the whole strip loin roast had us drooling. On top of everything, there was a crab dip and full open bar. Nations Roof indeed knows how to throw a PARTY. After stuffing ourselves with delicious cuisine, a guest requested Desperado by The Eagles. We couldn’t wait to start playing this song, we love The Eagles. So classic.
Felix hosted an employee who was super keen on Elvis. She actually got up and nailed a few songs with us. She also made a speech, dedicating this song towards a loss of a company employee. We encouraged a moment of silence and respect. Moving forward, a few guests approached us and mentioned they’d seen us at other events. They also informed us we were the best dueling piano show they’ve ever seen. Now that’s always awesome to hear! Thank you! We were actually paid to stay longer after our time was up. We can’t remember the last 3.5 hour show we’ve played without breaks. This was simply awesome success for our books! So glad everyone went home happy.
