Felix and Fingers took a quick trip over to Mundelein, Il to perform for this Ivanhoe Club Membership Invitational. This is a yearly event and this year’s theme was the Wild West. What an appropriate theme for such a wild night!
Ivanhoe Club Membership Invitational Venue
The Ivanhoe Club in Mundelein is a private club with three 9-hole golf courses, impeccable facilities, and lots of family orientated activities. In fact, it was named a “Distinguished Club” by Boardroom Magazine, a distinguished award indeed. The Ivanhoe Club went all out for their members with this fantastic evening. When the guests entered, they could select a country western themed accessory and take-away item. There were some great items to choose from including cowboy hats, bandannas, cactus shot glasses, tiny boot key chains, sheriff badges and more!!! We don’t think we’ve ever seen a themed event done so well before. Every detail that could possibly be changed into something western was. Amazing.
Everywhere you looked there was more western and cowboy themed decorations. They had wagon wheels, fake cacti, pop up wooden doors, and even fake buffalo skulls. It was over the top, but in an amazingly fun way. Click here to find out more about this awesome club. A Little Bit Country, and a Little Bit of Everything Else
With the cowboy theme and all, we had to play a ton of country music. Even your Felix and Fingers Dueling Piano performers were dressed up in our own western gear. Our performers found the perfect country western playlist with a lot of swing country and that set the mood perfectly. But not everyone wanted just country. We made sure to mix things up quite a bit. People danced just as much to John Denver’s Thank God I’m a Country Boy as they danced to December 1963 from the Four Seasons. ZZ Top made the list with Sharp Dressed Man as did Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance With Somebody. All in all, it was one of the most fun themed events we have 
ever been to. We were so happy to be a part of this awesome membership night at the Ivanhoe Club. It was amazing.
