Choosing a theme for your party not only brings it to life, but it’s the perfect icebreaker. Hence, the Hotel Indigo engagement party theme was Mardi Gras. Felix and Fingers set up in an elegant boardroom garnished with tons of purple, green and gold decor. This hotel has been beautifully renovated and we were in a portion that was once was a bank!
Cocktail hour promoted excitement. Guests really got into our dancing and singing show, especially after a few drinks! The open air space of this room offered a food station, bar and areas to show off great moves. During this time we played songs such as Carnival Time by Al Johnson and Hurricane Season by Trombone Shorty. We loved the creole deviled eggs and mini crab cakes!
Special Requests and Tons of Dancing
Let the Good Times Roll – it’s Mardi Gras time! The Hotel Indigo engagement party was a great opportunity to celebrate Fritz and Jazmine’s upcoming nuptials. When it was time for Fritz to “pop the question” he requested One Call Away by Charlie Puth. Fritz mentioned this was a special song and would like it performed as he proposed. As the excitement built up in the room and Fritz dropped to one knee, Jazmine said YES! A very romantic moment indeed.
Did someone mention jazz? The Hotel Indigo engagement party served up a feast of jazzed up Cajun and Creole flavors. Guests enjoyed a spread of chicken gumbo, jambalaya, Andouille sausage, dirty rice, beans and even the famous King Cake! In fact, we had a couple approach us during our break letting us know they were from New Orleans. Not only did they come for the etoufeé, but they were having a BLAST at the part-ay!
There was TONS of singing and dancing all night long. Above all, we had everyone in stitches performing a dance to Right Stuff by New Kids on the Block. We crushed it! Everyone heard their requests while sipping on signature mint juleps, Hurricanes, and Creole Bloody Mary’s all night long. This may have been a smaller audience, but we all had a GREAT TIME!
