The Renwick Mansion wedding event was an elegant outdoor reception and held in a beautiful tent that supplied some indoor amenities. Surrounded by lush gardens, guests toured the home and enjoyed views of the Mississippi river and Davenport from the mansion’s fourth floor tower. Hey guys…we’re in a giant tent, with a 30-foot metal pole in the middle, and a HUGE storm, with lots of lightning, is in fact heading our way. What should we do? LET’S PAR-TAAAAAAYY. Nothing stops Felix and Fingers from making your event complete!…..(we all survived). We also play for ceremonies! The married couple must be living right, because the clouds parted for the 30 minute ceremony. Felix and Fingers would like to give a BIG SHOUT out to this venue’s staff. They made sure no detail was overlooked. Everyone was so friendly and helpful!
Dancing, Laughter and Singing
The Renwick Mansion wedding event allowed guests a chance to mingle during cocktail hour offering hors d’oeuvres, drinks and an awesome dueling piano show. Felix and Fingers had the ENTIRE crowd on the floor singing and dancing to Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond! Everyone seemed to have forgotten about the storm and was having such a great time. Songs such as Get Down on It by Kool & the Gang slipped right into My Humps by The Black Eyed Peas. What is more, Felix and Fingers used their sense of humor and played Thunderstruck by AC/DC. The crowd went WILD!
Felix and Fingers LOVE a progressive reception. Kevin and Laura decided to break the mold offering a club like atmosphere and dropped the formal sit down dinner. Since the newlyweds were all about the club vibe, they hired us to DJ the rest of the night. We kicked the dance party off right away and kept guests shaking all evening. Funky songs like Rock the Casbah by The Clash and Jump Around by House of Pain were crowd favorites. This wild and crazy crowd danced to the DJ for two hours straight!
Oh, and BTW…Felix and Fingers brought a killer lighting package, this indeed gave the tent an awesome party atmosphere and our client’s LOVED it. Above all, an open bar and midnight food truck visit made the Renwick Mansion wedding event a BLAST!
