What more could someone want for their 80th birthday than a Felix and Fingers show? Nothing we can think of, that’s for sure. With this Topaz Cafe 80th Birthday Party, we celebrated Bill’s birthday with a rousing good time.
Bill’s Topaz Cafe 80th Birthday Party
First of all, let’s talk about this venue. The Topaz Cafe can be found in the village center of Burr Ridge, Illinois. This restaurant is super chic in its decor and the staff is wonderful. They welcomed us and our music with open arms. But most of all, the food is so delicious. If you would like to take a look at their menu items, please click here. Their large private dining room was the perfect setting for an 80th birthday party. This room will seat 75 and they also have a smaller private dining space. Weather permitting, you could host up to 100 guests on their outdoor patio. So whether you’re looking for an event venue or just a great place to dine, the Topaz Cafe is superb.
Birthday Fun and More
After an elegant meal, Bill began the night’s entertainment with a lovely speech honoring the relationships he has with all those in attendance. Our performers followed this speech with the Happy Birthday song, of course, as well as For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow.
Then it was time for our dueling piano show and let me tell you, Felix and Fingers put on a good one. We made sure to go back in time with some rock and roll from the 1950’s with Elvis Presley’s Hound Dog and You Send Me by Sam Cooke. It was so fun watching couples dancing to Patsy Cline’s Walkin’ After Midnight and you should have seen everyone’s moves to Chubby Checkers’ The Twist. A great time was had by all and to top off the night, there was a hot dog bar. What a great idea because everyone was hungry after all that dancing. And in true Chicago style, no ketchup was served.
