Felix and Fingers were excited to be part of the Ravinia Green Country Club grand reopening event located in Riverwoods, Illinois. Ravinia Green Country Club is now part of the ClubCorp family. ClubCorp owns more than 300 top-rated alliance clubs along with an astonishing 1,000 hotels and entertainment venues outside of Chicago.
Ravinia Green Country Club Grand Reopening Event Riverwoods
The Ravinia Green Country Club grand reopening event was an exciting day for our performers. We had an easy load in and set up with the help of an amazing staff. Our show was held in a modern lobby with an variety of food and beverage stations set out for guests to enjoy. Guests strolled a lively open house while learning about the amenities this venue had to offer. For example, there were golf clinics, kids programs and holiday brunches tantalizing potential members. Not only did our performers have a blast playing a mix of music, but these guys enjoyed the extra perks of their job. The Ravinia Green country club had an AMAZING number of themed food stations. For example, guests enjoyed dining on international food representations setup throughout the venue. In addition to an exotic sushi station there were fresh pasta bars and even a mouthwatering meat carving station. Cocktail hour had us playing songs such as Wonderful World by James Morrison followed by Lotus Flower by Kenny Durham. Our performers were busy as there was no shortage of request slips on their pianos. A highlight of this event was an individual hand rolling cigars for guests to take home!
Mix and Mingle
Felix and Fingers were proud to be a part of a memorable and positive experience! To be honest, it’s a great opportunity to build excitement while creating awareness and building relationships. Our performers had a crowd gathered around their pianos almost instantly. Guests enjoyed singing to songs such as Uptown Girl by Billy Joel and Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen. It wasn’t long before a new crowd came through the lobby filling out request slips. In addition to a younger generation having us rap Nice For What by Drake, a few old timers sang along to The Lady is a Tramp by Frank Sinatra.
Whether we were performing top hits or light jazz music there were always guests on the dance floor. After a few slow intro songs, Dim All The Lights by Donna Summer become a FANTASTIC disco dance song. Felix and Fingers had the crowd hopping with an awesome rendition of Bodack Yellow by Cardi B. Above all, our performers brought in the hype with Get Me Bodied by Beyonce. We had so much fun getting everyone to do the Naomi Campbell walk and the “Uh-Oh”!
