The University of Iowa Radiology Department was the host for this Graduate Hotel Holiday Party.  What a great time everyone had!  Felix and Fingers was impressed with the venue and the guests.

Graduate Hotel Holiday Party

Graduate Hotel Holiday Party lobbyVery near the University of Iowa is the Graduate Hotel.  If you are looking for an event space on or near the campus, you can find it right here.  This venue was just perfect for the University Hospital’s Radiology Department holiday bash.  For starters, the decor is elegant in it’s simplicity.  The coffered blue ceilings added a stunning element that really makes this space stand out.  It is really quite posh and sophisticated.  Next, you and your guests will find the service to be excellent and the catering here is expertly crafted.  Our favorite of the evening, however, had to be the hot chocolate bar complete with peppermint schnapps and Kahlua.  Yummy!  Please click here to view the Graduate Hotel’s website.  We found it to be excellent and we know you will too.

Event Success

Are you in charge of organizing your company’s next party or fun event?  If so, the first tip we have in creating a successful event is ensuring that people will be there.  The staff in attendance for this holiday party told us that it was the best attended event Graduate Hotel Holiday Party revelersthat they have ever had.  The reason?  Because everyone was so excited about our dueling piano performance.  These are their words, not ours.  So if you would like to create a fun work outing that will have all of your coworkers talking about it for weeks on end, perhaps you should give Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos a call.  We know how to do it up right.

This group had a ton of great requests, most specifically from the 1960’s and 1980’s decades of Rock and Roll.  Oh, so many great tunes in those decades.  We played My Generation by The Who and Marvin Gaye’s I Heard it Through the Grapevine.  For the 80’s, there was Caught Up In You by 38 Special and no 80’s list would be complete without Bon Jovi’s Livin’ On a Prayer.  We certainly played some holiday tunes as well.  Our favorite was Santa Claus is Coming to Town, à la Bruce Springsteen style.  So much fun!
