One can only imagine what a private club event will be like when it’s on an ocean-side isle. The Vinoy Club Members private event was indeed nothing shy of amazing. Felix and Fingers set up their show on a raised and recessed stage flanked by Greek columns. A large dance floor in front of their stage was the perfect location for guests to groove on. To illustrate the grandeur of this place, guests were seated in a beautifully restored 1920’s era ballroom. Everywhere you looked there were sparkling chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Furthermore, arched doorways lead out to courtyards for viewing the perfect sunset.

Our performer for the Vinoy Club Members private event was Katie Brown. We knew this was going to be a great show as the sweet table presented desserts inspired by music. How could a dueling pianist refuse a slice of Mozart’s piano cake? This cake was in the shape of piano keys, we thought that was clever! Moreover, someone had the brilliant idea of baking Johann Bach’s cheesecake pops and Beethoven beehive honeycomb cookies.
It didn’t take long for our tip jar to fill up with a great selection of requests. In fact, one table tried to stump us with their song requests. Katie was on point and showed them her best at playing them all! Favorites such as Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John and New York State of Mind by Billy Joel had the dance floor packed. We can say the highlight of this evening was a fabulous rendition of Build Me Up Buttercup by The Foundations. Hence, it had all the guests singing at the tops of their lungs having a great time.
There were some Ohio State fans in the crowd, a triumphant Queen anthem request had their group up and singing. In all honesty, Katie paid a perfect tribute to Freddie Mercury on the piano. After an amazing sunset filled the ballroom, guests raised tealights off their tables during rock songs. In summary, a fabulous crowd enjoyed a special evening of music, dancing and singing in St. Petersberg, Florida.
