A snowy April day greeted us on the way to the Local Lounge/ River Prairie Center Event in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. As it goes in the Midwest, we aren’t safe from the snow until it hits May, but that didn’t stop Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos or the guests from coming to great venues and events. Local Lounge/ River Prairie Center Event
Two great venues hosted a public dueling pianos event spanning a couple days in early April. Both venues had lots to offer its guests and for Felix and Fingers. We had great space to work with and a great turn out at both places. Guests sat around nicely decorated tables throughout the room and received excellent food before we started the show. We would like to thank Local Lounge for providing us with so many amenities and a dinner in the main restaurant. Felix and Fingers definitely appreciate the hospitality!
As for the show, we had a blast playing for such an energetic crowd. Some guest singers joined us on stage throughout the night and rocked it with their awesome voices. As well, we invited up guests who had birthdays for the classic birthday roasts. Interacting and involving with our crowd as much as possible is always something we do at Felix and Fingers, and this Local Lounge/ River Prairie Center Event exuded that interaction. At one point, we had a request for the song “Livin’ On a Prayer” which turned into the crowd singing “Livin’ in Eau Claire”. Additionally, since we were in Miller country, we chanted “Milly Milly” for a toast instead of the original “Dilly Dilly” Bud Light slogan. To top it all off, before our show ended at the first venue, guests purchased tickets for our show the next day! Great music, great food, and great times were shared by all. We hope to be back one day with these fine folks and two great venues!
