A beautiful vintage theater was venue of choice for a holiday party for a local company in Dubuque, Iowa. Five Flags Center Event
A fun fact about this local theater is that the town built it back in 1910. We were reminded of the beautiful and classic theaters one might find in Chicago. Before we even arrived to this Five Flags Center Event, our trailer needed to be towed up an icy hill. Felix and Fingers is just like the post office: nothing stops us from delivering (fun) to any event! We performed on stage for this holiday party with pianos that glowed bright blue in the light, which gave off a really awesome effect. It made a statement that said we are here and ready to light up your night with our music! As well, it allowed us to create cool lighting effects and bring the crowd up on stage.
Many guests got out of their seats and came and danced right in front of the stage to some Felix and Fingers classic dueling songs. Others chose to rattle their jewelry from the balconies. Everyone participated in the show in one way or another! Later, we had a guest singer, Megan Roeth, come up on stage and absolutely crush it as the lead singer for “Zombie” and “You Ought to Know”. What a treat it was for us and for the guests!
She really involved the crowd with her wonderful performance. Great music filled the theater all throughout the night. Aside from the great music, the cherry on top was the fabulous buffet that included cocktail shrimp, smoked salmon and trout, pastry baked salmon, bacon-wrapped chestnuts, sausage-stuffed mushrooms, turkey and beef slides, and a wide variety of desserts. The music, company, venue, and food all together made for a truly rich evening.
