Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos recently performed for a Wyndham Springfield City Centre Fundraiser in Springfield, Illinois. We had a great venue and a great group of people to perform for. Wyndham Springfield City Centre Fundraiser
This fundraiser was the yearly Gala for the Hope Institute. The Hope Institute started in Springfield, Illinois, where this venue is located. It is a great organization that helps kids on the autism spectrum prepare for daily life in society. This particular Wyndham Springfield City Centre Fundraiser ended up having around 300 people attend this event.
To start the evening off, we had prepared a fake introduction. Then, the host interrupted us and reminded all of us why we were here. Some of the students from Hope’s upcoming production of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory performed two short scenes from the play in which they sang, Pure Imagination. We loved being a part of and witnessing this special moment. The main part of the fundraiser included a fundraiser, where many guests participated in the bidding which helped raise a lot of money for the organization.

We performed a variety of songs throughout the fundraisers. At the end of the night, we ended with the classic, “Piano Man” which the crowd really seemed to enjoy. Guests requested different songs throughout the night that fit the style of the event and many people appreciated our music and renditions of the songs. Felix and Fingers always make sure to cater to the needs of the guests and to the type of event so that is a unique and lively performance for every event that we perform. We were told this was the first year that they had provided entertainment at their event. We hope to be back for another year!
