Felix and Fingers had the honor to perform at a Royal Ridges fundraiser that celebrated and raised money for the Boys and Girls Club out in Rincon, Wisconsin. Royal Ridges Fundraiser
This venue had great space for a fundraiser. There were 29 tables, each seating anywhere from 8 to 10 people per table. The staff there helped a lot throughout the event and made it all run smoothly. The evening began with hearing several past members speak about the event and the organization and why they hold this fundraiser.
We then heard a few moving speeches from members of the Boys and Girls Club and received a particularly moving speech a girl who had grown up and been abused by her parents. The boys and girls club literally saved her life and she now is in the Navy doing very well. A cool part of the food and drink is that they had a wine selection with every course and someone from the winery explained what each wine was and why they paired it with that course.
Music and Dancing
We had a large crowd for this particular Royal Ridges fundraiser, so we had diverse requests from table to table. The enthusiasm moved throughout the room as each table had a chance to request a song. During the night, we raised one-hundred dollars to play “Sweet Caroline” and most of the guests got up and danced to that tune. Later on, the “boy of the year” spoke and played a song on the piano for everyone.Overall, we all had a lot of fun and the guests enjoyed the evening. In particular, one of the organizer’s college friends did a strip dance to Foreigners, “Jukebox Hero” and we are lucky to have recorded it on video. We hope to perform for this group and fundraiser in the future!
