Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos is known for being a great source of entertainment at public events, parties, and especially weddings.  One of my favorite things to do as a dueling pianist, though, is to be part of a fundraiser!  Dueling pianos is a great solution for providing entertainment while simultaneously interacting with the crowd and getting additional funds raised in the form of tips, and that’s exactly what Greg and I did for St. Francis of Assisi at their church fundraiser in Jefferson, WI.

Greg Church Fundraiser

Ta-da!

A Church Fundraiser, eh?

When a lot of people hear the words “church fundraiser,” folding chairs and church basements and bingo sometimes come to mind.  This church fundraiser was nothing of the sort!  The room was decorated with a fun Mardi Gras theme, complete with beads, masks and tons of other playful decorations!  Obviously beads were not distributed in the “typical” Mardi Gras fashion… all guests had to do to get some was to make a song request. 🙂 The requests came pouring in, and each set of beads was like a raffle ticket to win a prize at the end of the night… it made for a great variety of requests!

Emily & Greg Church Fundraiser

Just goofin’ around with some Mardi Gras masks!

In addition to the Mardi Gras theme, this particular church fundraiser occurred the day before Valentine’s Day, so we incorporated some adorable V-day activities like anniversary dances and trivia.  Personally, that’s what I love about fundraisers- it’s really more about the people there than almost any other type of show.  Especially at a church fundraiser, people love to see their friends and family get up and do some of our famous games with us or sing a song in exchange for a donation… it’s a win-win!

I can’t imagine a better form of entertainment for a church fundraiser, or any fundraiser for that matter!  Dueling pianos offers a way to make the music exactly what the guests want by taking requests, fundraising all the while by donating the tips back, and making it fun by incorporating the guests into the show.  For more information on how to make Felix and Fingers part of your next event, visit our website, or e-mail info@felixandfingers.com.
