Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos had the pleasure of traveling to LaBranche in Polo Illinois to aid in a Fundraiser for the Polo Town and Country Days. Specifically, our job was to help raise money for Polo’s fireworks display. We were happy to oblige!

The venue for the evening was at White Pines LaBranche, Polo’s banquet hall. After walking in, I immediately recognized the venue from 2 years prior and a wedding that F&F had performed for Tiffiny and Jesse. It’s always great to perform at familiar venues!
White Pines LaBranche has a perfect banquet room for events with a dance floor built in to the center of the room. They have a small platform where they typically host wedding ceremonies, but we were able to squeeze in our smaller set up without a problem.
Fundraising Idea: Dessert Auction
This may have been my first dessert auction, and I was floored by some of the cakes. How it works:
Dinner is included in the ticket price, but desserts are not. People create extraordinary cakes that are then bid on by the attendees. These cakes raise hundreds of dollars each. It’s a great concept and definitely fun to see!

Fundraisers and Dueling Pianos
We boast that our show is the perfect fit for fundraisers because we can actually help raise money for the cause. Tonight was no exception as we were able to donate over $700 in tips back to the Polo Town and Country Days. Between dance competitions, guest singers and some interactive choreography, the guests at LaBranche were a phenomenal crowd to entertain. My personal highlight was a dance duet I did with the winner of the “Frozen” cake. Who won the Frozen cake…well…imagine the type of person who likes Frozen (12 year old girl), and then imagine the absolute opposite. His dance solo potentially raised about half the tips that night.

It was great to return to LaBranche and work with the staff again. Polo is a great town and we plan to drive out for the Fireworks in June (if at all possible!). Check out LaBranche for your wedding or fundraiser if you’re in the area, and of course, bring in the best dueling pianos show around, Felix and Fingers!
