Felix and Fingers made their second appearance at the Silver Lake Country Club for another party, dueling piano style. Our first appearance at the SLCC (Silver Lake Country Club) was for a wedding, but THIS was to be a holiday affair! The Christmas trees were up, the halls were decked, and the pianos were ready rock. Even though Felix and Fingers had played here before, this was my first time seeing the place. Quality. The banquet hall decorations were great, the staff was more than accommodating (Amy and her staff were a pleasure to work with!), and the room was perfect for the event. Spacious with a great dance floor and nice stage area for dueling pianos!

SLCC Outdoor Patio

Beautiful Outdoor Patio at Silver Lake Country Club

Gorgeous Venue

This was our first holiday event at Silver Lake and we really enjoyed the lights on the patio.  It really made for an idyllic atmosphere, that is if it wasn’t so cold!  Regardless, our load in was a bit more enjoyable because of it.

The Food Though!

And let’s talk about the food! Mike (Fingers) and I (Felix) have played at a lot of places, and, as a result, have been privileged with being served some amazing dishes over the past few years. Once, we even tried antelope tar-tar (which happened to be amazing)! On this particular night, Silver Lake Country Club was serving a steak and lobster dinner to their guests. I know nothing when it comes to lobster, but holy cow the steaks were AMAZING (pun intended)! Just amazing. I rank it in the top 5 steaks I’ve had in my life. Don’t ask me to name the other 4. Top 5 just sounded legit. It was that good.

Dance Party at Silver Lake Country Club

Silver Lake Country Club After dinner (and some F&F background jazz), the lights were dimmed, the dance floor was open, and the party was on. On this special evening, the Silver Lake Country Club was hosting a group of Radiology and Nuclear Consultants. This means everyone was probably smarter than us. It took a couple songs for us to loosen up the crowd, but once that first group hit the dance floor, it was on. Dancing, singing, and request after request of everyone’s favorite songs that kept the dance floor alive the whole night. It was a great time! Favorite person of the night was definitely Tony the bartender, who was horse by the end of the night from singing along!
